Mortar measures approx. 2 3 4" x 2 3 4" by 1 1 2" tall, it has natural imperfections. Pestle is approx. 2 3 8" tall, bottom of pestle is approx. 1 1 8" by 1 1 8". Hiwaya (or jiwaya) stone is magnetic and is believed to possess unique properties, including the ability to "cry blood" when rubbed against other stones. S52515
