Traditionally used for cooking and preserving meats in the days before refrigerators, this piece has a beautifully simple, rustic form with hand molded ridged handles and a gorgeous, rich mottled glaze with lovely passages of glaze drips. Its use over the years has given it some lovely different shades between beige and grey. Likely manufactured at Borne, Haut Loire in
